Getting started

Jedi ‑ Collection Sort Pro keeps your Shopify collections sorted automatically. The core workflow has three steps:

1. Install and activate a collection

1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store — the free plan covers your first 10 collections.
2. Open Sort collections. Every collection in your store is listed.
3. Select a collection (or several) and click Set sorting active. The app switches the collection's sort order to manual and takes over its ordering. Its previous sort order is remembered and restored if you ever deactivate.

2. Build a sorting strategy

1. Go to Sorting strategies and click Create strategy (a default strategy is created for you on install).
2. Add layers from top to bottom — each layer is a group of products with its own rules. A typical retail setup:
   1. New products — boost arrivals from the last 30 days
   2. Best selling — rank by units sold in the last 30 days
   3. Other products — everything else
   4. Out of stock — always pushed to the bottom
3. Pick a sort frequency: scheduled (cron, in your timezone) or real-time (re-sort when products change).
4. Save, then assign the strategy to your active collections.

3. Measure and iterate

• Enable Analytics (the app asks for the extra Shopify permissions when you first open it) to see collection views, clicks, add-to-carts, and revenue per collection and per strategy.
• Use multiple strategies on important collections to A/B test sort orders — the app rotates them daily and attributes performance to each.
